the thing i like about this painting is the way it caches the light when it is lit from above, it would have been nice if i could capture that in a photo, but i think its something you just have to see in person. thanks for the fave.

like all art stuff. you can, it just takes alot of work. but your ahead of the game, if you continue doing what your doing by the time your my age you will be doing increadible stuff, that would blow my stuff out of the watter. so just keep going!

ok i will but it just seams kind of complicated i can get colors i mena the blending and finding the right shade and everything its just applying it to the paper is my problem.

i took a class for that called color theroy. it was horibley boring but realy important stuff. there is some stuff you need to know. you need to learn about the three propertys of color hue, value, and saturation. those three things are all you need to know to describe color.
hue is the color (like red, blue or purple).
value is how light or dark it is (like value in black and white pieces). saturation is the hardest to describe, hue and value affect saturation, but they are not the only things. when you push the paint out of the tube it is as saturated as it will ever be. from there it just gets muddier and less intense. when you add white or black to a color you are making it less saturated. saturation like warm colors can be used to make part of a painting come forward. if you place a saturated color next to a less saturated color , the saturated color will pop forward.
let me know if i just confused you, or if you want to know more boring definitions of what makes a color a color, or if you have trouble finding a color your looking for. i have a ton more zen painting advice.

heheheh i get it i mean i understand the whole color thing hue, tints, shades, value, saturation, and i know how to get great colors and usualy i can always find the right color i need its just the whole part of putting it to canvas and actualy making a picture out of it i mean like in a painting if im trying to get the skin color to go from the original skin color to the shaded skin then it just looks like two different pieced instead os just one body part that has some shade. idk if that made sense but yea

there is no such thing as flesh color. in skin you will find greens reds yellows, all sorts of colors, and so therefor you should not hav two pieces, but twenty, and that will look right from a distance. my advice for leaning to paint would be to start out with a limeted palet and then gradualy add more colors as you do more paintings. i mentioned the basic colors for the limetid palet in that object selfportrait painting i did with the hanging monkey. i would blab on more, but im realy tierd
